Today’s Lunch

Hisa and I had a busy three-day weekend this past weekend. We weren’t actually busy going places and doing things so much, but we were busy planning things.

We planned out everything we have to do between now and when we live Japan to move to the U.S. in December, and when we have to do it. Moving internationally is quite a bit more complicated than moving within one country. Trust me on this.

We also started planning our trip to Thailand in November! We’re going to be visiting Thailand for 9 days, and I can’t wait! We bought our plane tickets last night, and now we need to reserve a hotel room. We’re going to be staying in Bangkok for 5 days and Koh Samui for 4 days. More than a “let’s wake up super early and see as much as we possibly can each day!” kind of trip, this is a “let’s relax, see some sights, chill on the beach with a cocktail, and enjoy awesome spa treatments” kind of trip. Since we never really had a honeymoon, I’ve designated this as our official honeymoon. Hey, it’s only been a year and a half since our wedding! lol!

Anyway, I’m super excited about the trip. And since I adore Thai food, I have a feeling the food will be one of the main highlights for me!

Today’s lunch: Kimchi chigae, Korean side dishes, steamed rice, and half a Japanese pear
