Today’s Lunch

Today’s lunch: ham, cheese, vegetable (lettuce, bell pepper, cucumber, green onion, olives) sandwich, Japanese pumpkin (kabocha) salad, and fresh pineapple

While I’m not fond of store-bought white bread, as we just got back from out of town on Sunday, and we’re leaving again tomorrow for five days, I didn’t want to make any homemade bread this week. On top of that, the store didn’t have any of the multi-grain they sometimes have (finding whole-wheat bread in Japanese supermarkets is hard!), so I was left with no other choice than to buy white bread. *sigh* My husband doesn’t really care, but whole wheat bread (especially homemade!) is so much tastier not to mention healthier. Still, white bread once in a while won’t kill us! 🙂
